The Goal among all the goals Philippians 3:12-14
What does the Bible says about planning?
- Have a goal in life, Proverbs 29:18, Where there is no vision, people perish
- The Lord's will is ultimately followed
- James 4:13-15, "...instead you ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.

- Seek counsel. Prov. 15:22 - Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed.
- Do not plan with people of different mindset/conviction/perspective:
- Psalm 1-3, Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.
- 2 Cor. 6:14 - Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
- God is more interested to finishing your goal. Phil. 1:6
- Count the Cost - Luke 14:28-31, For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’ Or what king, going out to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and deliberate whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand?
- Desire to do his will. Matthew 26:39 - And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”
- Do not let your goals or unfulfilled goals define you. Romans 8:1-39 - There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. ...

The sun rises, and the sun goes down, and hastens to the place where it rises. ...
