What is the church?   It is not a buildling It is not an institution Read Acts 2:41-42, 46 and underline these words.    What is the church?   The Church is a group of baptized believers who join together in a commitment to help each other fulfill the five purposes in their lives.  Love God with all your heart (worship) Love your neighbor as yourself (ministry) Go and make disciples (evangelism) Baptize them into (fellowship) Teach them to do all things (discipleship) Give your first impression, what does this picture mean?  Unlikely Reasons why people go to church? The Six A's of Christian Growth Assess Your Spiritual Life Here You embrace moving forward (v.15a, 13 & 14) - Accelerate All of us who are mature should take such a view of things.  What view?   The view Paul mentioned in verses 13 and 14.  But one thing I do:  Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.   Is your life indicative of spiritual progress?   What changes can you make to ensure you are moving forward?   You seek God as your primary option (v.15b) - Authority And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you.  God has his ways of teaching us if we are wrong and guiding us to do the right thing.   It only happens if we seek him first.    What are some things in your life that you need to seek God first?    You build ...

Have a goal in life, Proverbs 29:18, Where there is no vision, people perish The Lord's will is ultimately followed James 4:13-15, "...instead you ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.
